Advisory boards
Scientific Advisory Board
The Scientific Advisory Board (Wetenschappelijke Adviesraad, WAR) of Dutch Digestive Health Fund consists of Dutch doctors and researchers. The WAR members come from different fields of expertise. This way, all disciplines in the field of digestion are represented in the committees.
The WAR members commit themselves entirely selflessly to Dutch Digestive Health Fund and serve on the Advisory Council for three years. WAR members play an important role in assessing research proposals. In addition, Dutch Digestive Health Fund can also ask them for advice on a variety of other scientific issues.

Referees
The referees are (mainly) foreign experts working at universities and academic centers around the world. Each year, they assist the Scientific Advisory Board in selecting the most relevant project applications. A grant is awarded to the best projects.
Societal Advisory Board (Maatschappelijke adviesraad, MAR)
The Societal Advisory Board (Maatschappelijke Adviesraad, MAR) of Dutch Digestive Health Fund consists of Dutch experts by experience, a nursing specialist, a gastroenterologist and experts in applying scientific methodologies in care. The Societal Advisory Council assesses various types of projects for relevance to both patients and society.
The members of the Societal Advisory Board dedicate themselves entirely selflessly to Dutch Digestive Health Fund and serve on the Advisory Board for three years. The Societal Advisory Council plays an important role in assessing research proposals.
